Would he truly understand her if she ever told him about what she was? He would have to. He has been there just as she has.

They had grown comfortable and close within the week or so after meeting. She knew that she was feeling something for him and that is what kept her from just deleting her mark and getting on with her next mission. The problem was, she got involved.

From day one you are taught, play it straight. Make sure you know your mission, the objectives of the mission, and actions you need to take to finalize the mission.

She had started off that way. Pretty unassuming guy, seemed to have a likeness for her and what she was. It should have been a harmless game of cat and mouse. But it wasn’t. He started to open up himself and bare his soul to her. This was a new one to her; she never dove into personal feelings. She was feeling torn. Inside she wanted to drop it all and just let him take her in his arms and envelope her.

They grew close quickly. It must have been their similarities in that she knew that in his past life as an assassin and spy and as her current life, they seemed to share the same love of life. It took all she had not to just grab what she needed and leave him. She broke on the inside; he had created a bedroom for her as well as had clothing made for her for when she stayed at the house. It was not “their” bedroom, it was hers. No one had ever given her such a luxury.

As she stared at the ceiling in her bedroom at his house, she finally decided that she had to bite the bullet and try to finish her mission. Who knows, maybe he will even understand. Maybe he would just give it to me, if she asked nicely, maybe put on something racy. Maybe she could just grab it and run. Could he possibly out run her?
